Theoretical and experimental study of high-acceleration patterns in vibratedgranular layers is presented. The order parameter model based on parametricGinzburg-Landau equation is used to describe strongly nonlinear excitationsincluding hexagons, interface between flat anti-phase domains and new localizedobjects, super-oscillons. The experiments confirmed the existence ofsuper-oscillons and bound states of super-oscillons and interfaces. On thebasis of order parameter model we predict analytically and confirmexperimentally that the additional subharmonic driving results in controlledmotion of the interfaces.
